How Do I Turn Off Transactional Emails From Authorize.net?

Authorize.net will email your donors a "Customer Receipt/Purchase Confirmation" each time you process a transaction. It will typically look something like this:

You can disable this notification from Authorize.net because RaiseDonors automatically sends user-friendly and on-brand emails to your donors for you.

To disable the email notifications from Authorize.net, please do the following:

1. Login to the Authorize.net virtual terminal and click on the "Account" from the top navigation
2. Click on the Email Receipt menu item 
3. Under Enable Email Confirmation, turn off the option for auth.net to automatically email your customers

 

 

Now that Authorize.net isn't sending their transactional emails, You should review the emails that RaiseDonors sends on your behalf. There are two types of emails that RaiseDonors will send to your donors based on the type of donation they made, one time or recurring.

One time donation notifications

The content of these emails is customize-able and specific to the page you've built in RaiseDonors. Edit any of your donation landing pages in RaiseDonors and goto the last tab, "Auto Responder". Here you can control the content of your thank you page and thank you email.

Recurring donation notifications

These are not specific to a page like the one time donations are. Instead, you can edit the template any time. You can do so by going to your admin area -> Outgoing emails. Ensure your "Recurring donor receipts" are enabled. Then click on the green edit button for "Recurring receipt settings". Here you can customize the 'thank you/successful' monthly donation and the 'failed/problem' monthly donation email.
