How Do I Issue A Refund?

Refunding Donations

  1. Navigate to the Transactions section in RaiseDonors.
  2. Search for the transaction you want to refund by Donor Name or Email.

  3. Click on the Transaction ID.

  4. On the Transaction screen, there are a series of "tabs" on the top of the screen.  Click the "Void or Refund Donation" tab.

  5. Click the Refund button. 
    Please note: partial refunds are not yet supported. Proceeding will refund the entire transaction.

Voiding Donations

If you use Authorize.net you may have two options:

  1. To Void the Donation
    If the transaction took place before your batch at Authorize.net has closed, you may perform a void. This will cancel the transaction and it will not appear on the donor's statement. If you receive an error, it's likely the batch has closed and you will need to refund the gift instead.
  2. To Refund the Donation
    This will perform a refund of the transaction.
