Donations through online forms are typically handled on the back end by a third-party processor like Stripe or PayPal. But what if we also happened to have our own "third-party" processor? It sounds like that could be a helpful way for you to process, manage, and reconcile payments right here in RaiseDonors, right? Well...
We do! And now you can start integrating Payments into RaiseDonors to give your organization a little more control over gift processing and reconciliation.
Configuring Payments Integration
To begin, log in to your RaiseDonors account. Then, click on the Settings icon in the upper right and select "Manage Account." Then, on the settings screen, select "Payment Providers" from the navigation menu on the left.
There, you'll see a list of all active gateways for your account. Near the top of the screen, you'll see a button to add a new provider. Click that to add Payments as a new payment provider.
This will bring you to the Gateway setup screen. Select "Add Virtuous Payments" to continue.
The next screen will give you a list of materials you'll need to complete an application necessary to use Payments. Click the button to get started!
This will direct you to the application portal where you will need to provide several pieces of information about your organization and submit them for underwriting. Check out Navigating the Underwriting Process for details on filling out your application. Remember: if you don't have every single item you need, that's OK - you can save and go back into your application to fill out those missing pieces.
